Spacious Reception Area

Spacious Reception Area

Our roomy greeting area allows our patients to sit comfortably away from each other. This helps reduce their anxiety when seeing other animals. Clients can watch the Animal Planet on our cable TV or gaze out into our garden through the large windows.

Examination rooms

Examination rooms

We have five outpatient rooms to help us see our clients in a timely manner. If an agitated pet comes in we can quickly get him or her into a private, quiet room away from the other patients.

Fourth Examination Room

Fourth Examination Room

Each room allows for the pet to be examined on the floor or up on our examination table.

Surgery suite

Surgery suite

Our surgeries are performed in the safest manner possible. Each patient is on a warming pad to maintain their body temperature. The patients receive IV fluids during every major surgery. Vital statistics such as blood pressure, ECG, heart rate, and blood oxygenation are noted and recorded in the surgical record through out the procedure.

ICU

ICU

Safe anesthesia induction is done in our ICU area before the patient is prepped for surgery. Our vet assistant checks the ears and trims nails as a courtesy while the patient is under anesthesia. Each patient is intubated so that the anesthetic gas and oxygen mixture can be properly regulated and monitored.

All of our surgical instruments and materials are sterilized and then stored in a clean pass through area that separates ICU from our surgical suite.

Presurgical Procedures

Presurgical Procedures

Every surgery patient gets an IV catheter placed for fluids and drug administration

Surgery Suite

Surgery Suite

Our surgical technicians keep a close eye on every surgery patient by taking a hands on approach. They are with your pet from induction to recovery. While the patient is under anesthesia the technician records the data from the EKG, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry monitors

Radiology

Radiology

We are capable of doing more then just an xray! We are able to perform barium studies which can be helpful in identifying gastrointestinal obstructions.

Our new Sedecal radiology unit with Idexx CR digital technology allows us greater image detail as well as options for telemedicine.

Pharmacy

Pharmacy

We stock a wide variety of veterinary medications. If there is a special medication your pet needs that we don't carry we will either write a prescription for a local pharmacy or special order it for you. All our medications are clearly labeled for the owner in child safe packaging if indicated.

We emphasize preventative medicine on our wellness exams. We carry a full line of products to help prevent fleas, ticks, heartworm, and intestinal parasites. Many of our pets have joint or skin disorders, so we carry specialized veterinary shampoos and joint supplements to aid in their treatment.

Prescription diets

Prescription diets

We carry Iams, Hills, Royal Canin, and IVD diets. Join our "My Food Bowl is Never Empty" program to ensure your pet's medical diet is always here when you need it.

Laboratory Blood Machines

Laboratory Blood Machines

Our in-house blood machines allow us to quickly assess a patient's health status which is important for critically ill patients and for presurgical evaluation prior to anesthesia.

Laboratory Microscopes

Laboratory Microscopes

Our most frequently used pieces of laboratory equipment are our microscopes. We use them to evaluate stool specimens for intestinal parasites. Cytology specimens collected from ears or skin, and lumps via fine needle aspirates are placed on slides and stained for the veterinarian to examine. Urine sediment is assessed for cell type, crystals, and casts as part of a full urinalysis. We have three microscopes in the hospital for utilization by the staff and doctors.

Ultrasound & Special Procedures

Ultrasound & Special Procedures

Our new MyLab 50 color doppler flow Ultrasound unit is beneficial for diagnosing cardiac and abdominal disorders. We also perform pregnancy exams as well.

ICU

Dental exams, cleanings and extractions are performed on a daily basis. A clean healthy mouth is important for preserving teeth as well as protecting the kidneys, heart valves, and liver from bacterial infections.
